1A-1 Region I District 4 recap November 5, 2013
Anson extended the longest winning streak in 1A-1 Region I District 4 this week by beating Forsan, 21-20. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Tigers.
Winters scaled the state rankings by moving to 957 from 1,006 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Blizzards were able to move up by beating Haskell 61-26.
The Indians' dynamic duo of Dylan Hanson and Matt Martinez proved to be unstoppable against Winters, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hanson threw for 291 yards and 4 touchdowns and Martinez had 96 yards receiving. Justic Dever helped Haskell's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 65 yards.
He was 26-45 with 3 interceptions.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Anson takes on second place Stamford.
