It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Agua Dulce Longhorns had no problem doing just that on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 42-41 photo finish over Center Point. The win was nothing new for Agua Dulce as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Lane Ranly was a one-man wrecking crew for Agua Dulce as he rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 311 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.8% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Benny Espinoza, who picked up 146 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Agua Dulce's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Center Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Agua Dulce is on the road again on Friday and play against Chilton. Chilton will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. Center Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
