Even though the Foley Lions scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, the Navarre Raiders still came out on top. Navarre took their contest against Foley 69-58. For Navarre, this counts as revenge for the 63-58 loss Foley walked away with the last time they faced one another last Monday.
Leading Navarre to victory were Trey Brauns and Darius Cunningham. Brauns scored 22 points, while Cunningham dropped a double-double on 23 points and 16 rebounds. The contest was Cunningham's 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Forrest, who scored 13 points.
Navarre's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Foley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Navarre and Niceville will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Niceville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Foley and Orange Beach will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Orange Beach is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
