Softball Recap: Bogue Chitto Has No Trouble Against West Lincoln

Bogue Chitto made up a huge gap compared to their last game against West Lincoln, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bogue Chitto Bobcats blew past the West Lincoln Bears 13-7 on Tuesday. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Jonna Claire Roberts was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Roberts was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abigail Holder, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Madelyn Dejesus was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.

With the victory, Bogue Chitto broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-9. As for West Lincoln, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Bogue Chitto will have a chance to go back-to-back against West Lincoln: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
