South Ripley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lydia Cornett led the charge by scoring 13 points. Another player making a difference was Claire Samples, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Switzerland County earned a 53-40 win over Shawe Memorial on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Switzerland County.
South Ripley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. As for Switzerland County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
