Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Skyview Storm walked away with it. They blew past Skyline 42-7 at home. The result was nothing new for Skyview, who have now won nine matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.
Skyview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Kennedy, who threw for 217 yards and four touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Packer, who picked up 131 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Skyview pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Skyview will head out on the road to face off against Eastlake at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Eastlake will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
