Baseball Recap: Jefferson Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Jefferson had lost four games straight , but after bumping their record up to 8-9 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Summerfield Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

As for Summerfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only two runs.

For Summerfield's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenden Myshock, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another was Tyler Dafoe, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base.

Jefferson will have a chance to go back-to-back against Summerfield: the pair will be back at it again later today.
