Allyx Haveron made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kalia Sjoberg, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Capri Housley was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Maple Mountain's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Springville, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Maple Mountain hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Springville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
