The Pershing County Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Oasis Academy Bighorns at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pershing County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Pershing County at home against Silver Stage as the team secured a 60-25 win.
Pershing County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Travis Donaldson out in front who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Donaldson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Trenton Rhodes, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Oasis Academy came up short against North Tahoe on Wednesday and fell 47-37. Oasis Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Pershing County's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-15. As for Oasis Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 9-15.
Everything went Pershing County's way against Oasis Academy when the teams last played back in January as Pershing County made off with a 67-46 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Oasis Academy's Fenn Mackedon, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds.
