Conner Fairbanks was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with six steals and five assists. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Mella, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Cedar Valley lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is James Milligan. Another player making a difference was Obed Borruel, who scored nine points.
The victory got Mountain View back to even at 4-4. As for Cedar Valley, they have fallen quite a ways from their 18-6 record last season and are now at 1-3.
