The Chattanooga Christian Chargers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They really took it to Girls Prep for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-34 win on the road. With Chattanooga Christian ahead 38-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Leading Chattanooga Christian to victory were Aubriyana Camp and Kamora Moore. Camp almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine steals, while Moore scored 25 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Camp has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydah Rainey, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Chattanooga Christian's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Girls Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chattanooga Christian will take on Cleveland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chattanooga Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Girls Prep, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Knoxville Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th. Girls Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Knoxville Catholic is ranked seventh).
