It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Angleton can now relate to. They fell 21-14 to the Smithson Valley Rangers on Saturday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Although Angleton took the loss, they still got scores from Cam Brown and Travon Waddy.

Angleton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Maurice Hightower. Angleton got some further help from Kaden Edwards: he made 11 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Angleton's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-2. As for Smithson Valley, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Angleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Smithson Valley and Highland Park will compete for holiday cheer at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Highland Park will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Smithson Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
