Brayden Myovela Delivers Best Effort of Season
Maize was led to victory by Brayden Myovela, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Myovela rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win was the fourth in a row for Maize, bringing their record for this year to 4-4. Their homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Washburn Rural at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Kemp Made His Presence Known in Derby's 51-7 Victory
Drew Kemp's big game helped extend Derby's winning streak to eight on Friday. Nobody could stop Kemp as he rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Kemp might have his next game, a home matchup with Haysville Campus, circled on his calendar. Back in September (the last time Kemp saw the Colts), he rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 92 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing.

Hutchinson Wins Third-Straight Thanks to Kade Smith
Kade Smith's big game helped extend Hutchinson's winning streak to three on Friday. Smith did his part (and then some), rushing for 181 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry for the 'W'. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards.

On Friday, Valley Center got the W thanks in part to Connor Meyer playing the best football he has all season. Meyer threw for 133 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
This year, Meyer has thrown 7 touchdowns while averaging 77 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 27.69 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 48.36 passer rating.

Finley Posts Huge Game in 51-7 Victory
Arieus Finley's big game helped extend Derby's winning streak to eight on Friday. Nobody could stop Finley as he rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 116 rushing yards.
If the past is any indication, Finley could be in store for another big game when he takes on Haysville Campus on Friday. Finley rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries the last time he and the Colts duked it out back in September.
