Wisconsin Dells moved up to 233 from 266 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in South Central. The Chiefs were able to make the jump by beating Adams-Friendship 42-6.
Wisconsin Dells was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in the league. Earlier in the week, the Chiefs triumphed over the Green Devils 42-6.
Westfield Area's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Alex Slowey threw for 119 and one touchdown and Tanner Akers had 73 yards receiving. On the ground Spencer Burk chipped in 49 yards. Tyler Janke helped Westfield Area's passing attack out by catching three balls for 33 yards.
Westfield Area's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Pioneers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Slowey has thrown for 692 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Janke has 13 catches for 294 yards. Brad Floeter leads the league in rushing with 620 yards.
Two of the top units in South Central will face off this week when the Pioneers take on Adams-Friendship. Westfield Area's offense has racked up 142 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Green Devils have allowed only 278 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Wisconsin Dells takes on Mauston. At the moment, the Chiefs are in first, while the Golden Eagles are in fifth.
Wisconsin Dells took down Adams-Friendship 42-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
