Sage Creek took a 14-run  loss the last time they faced off against Torrey Pines, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bobcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons on Thursday, sneaking past  3-2. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Falcons  back in April, they had to take a  17-3  defeat.
 Kassidy King spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up seven Ks.
 At the plate,  Lola Carson was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.  Torii Ramirez was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  run and one  double.
 Sage Creek  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They are 6-1-1 when  they post two or more  strikeouts.
The  victory made it two in a row for Sage Creek and  bumps their season record up to 11-9-1. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3  runs in those games. As for Torrey Pines,  with the  loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-9.
