Moody came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 59-33 margin over the Dawson Bulldogs. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Dawson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Villarreal, who posted eight points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Villarreal, who put up six points and five rebounds.

Moody pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Dawson, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
