South Haven is 2-8 against Caldwell since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The South Haven Cardinals' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Caldwell Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Caldwell took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on South Haven, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, South Haven didn't have too much trouble with Flinthills on the road as they won 51-35.
Meanwhile, Caldwell's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 66-48 to Sedan. Caldwell has struggled against Sedan recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Caldwell saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jackson Risley, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Miles Newell was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
South Haven's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Caldwell, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
South Haven was taken down by Caldwell 51-24 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can South Haven avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
