Daiquan Dixon made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Overton got a massive performance out of Marquel Brooks, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Brooks is becoming a predictor of the Wolverines' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 3-4-1 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Nehemiah Diggs, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
