The Vashon Island Pirates''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Life Christian Academy 51-6. Vashon Island was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Life Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Life Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Jabez Boyd, who threw for 152 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Zach Mcknight, who gained 73 total yards and three touchdowns.
Vashon Island's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Life Christian Academy, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2.
Vashon Island will take on Bellevue Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Life Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
