North Webster has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Wossman Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Webster will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 317th, while Wossman is ranked fourth).
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for North Webster, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-41 loss to Sterlington. North Webster was down 45-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, Wossman put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They really took it to Sterlington for the full four quarters, racking up a 90-35 win on the road. Winning may never get old, but Wossman sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
North Webster's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Wossman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.
North Webster was dealt a bruising 77-9 loss at the hands of Wossman when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can North Webster avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
