There's no place like home for St. Andrew's Episcopal, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Loyd Star Hornets with a sharp 9-3 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Cash Myrick made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, St. Andrew's Episcopal let Luke Peterson and Stone Myrick run wild. Peterson went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Myrick went 2-for-3 with three runs. That's the most RBI Peterson has posted over his last 11 contests. Rylan Baldwin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI.

St. Andrew's Episcopal's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Loyd Star, their record is now 15-13.

Coming up, St. Andrew's Episcopal will venture away from home to face off against Clarkdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Saints surely won't give up without a fight. Loyd Star does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
