Baseball Recap: Northeast Takes a Loss

After soaring to 19 runs the game before, Northeast was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 12-0 to the East Laurens Falcons. The Raiders have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Northeast saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Durham, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. Durham has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for East Laurens, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeast will host Jefferson County at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Laurens, they will be playing at home against Montgomery County at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.15 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
