The Northside Patriots will head out on the road to square off against the Newnan Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Northside will be strutting in after a win while Newnan will be coming in after a defeat.
After failing to score in their last game, Northside made sure to put some goals up on the board against Lee County on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Trojans a 7-0 shutout. With that win, Northside brought their scoring average up to 4 goals per game.
They hit Lee County with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Isabella Frullaney (3),
Ryleigh Pigg (2),
Sania Morgan, and
Taylor Horton.
Meanwhile, Newnan fell victim to Dutchtown's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They fell 2-0 to the Bulldogs. The loss was Newnan's first of the season.
The win got Northside back to even at 1-1. As for Newnan, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1-1.
