Warsaw is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Angola is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Warsaw Tigers will take on the Angola Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Warsaw knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Angola likes a good challenge.
Warsaw can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Goshen 59-27 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-18.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Warsaw to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooke Zartman, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 0 assists. Zartman is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. Alexis Neely was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Angola earned a 48-40 victory over Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger on Saturday.
Warsaw's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Angola, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
