Woodlawn is a perfect 9-0 against DeWitt since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Woodlawn will head out to take on DeWitt at 4:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Woodlawn put up the most points they have all season on Monday. They never let Hampton get on the board and left with a 27-0 victory. The Bears have beaten the Bulldogs the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

Logan Clark and Tyner Burris made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Clark tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Burris tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Clark has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Clark went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles, while Burris went 1-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave Burris a new career-high.
In other batting news, Tate Hall was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hollis Holderfield, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Woodlawn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .682. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hampton only posted an OBP of .200.
DeWitt not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Des Arc. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.
DeWitt's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Woodlawn, their record now sits at 14-3.
Everything went Woodlawn's way against DeWitt in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Woodlawn made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodlawn since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
