Even though the Lancaster Mennonite Blazers have not done well against the Lancaster Catholic Crusaders recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Lancaster Mennonite snuck past Lancaster Catholic with a 57-53 victory. The victory was nothing new for Lancaster Mennonite as they're now sitting on four straight.
Lancaster Mennonite found their leader in underclassman Cody Fisher, who scored 23 points. The match was Fisher's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Hurst, who scored 11 points.
Lancaster Mennonite's victory bumped their record up to 4-2-1. As for Lancaster Catholic, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lancaster Mennonite will challenge Annville-Cleona at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lancaster Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Donegal at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
