In what's become a running theme this season, the Christian Academy Saints gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Florence Christian 42-12 at home. The victory was nothing new for Christian Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.
Payton Rumley was her usual excellent self, scoring eight points along with 20 rebounds and five assists. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 12 straight games. Carly Belle Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Florence Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
Christian Academy will head out on the road to take on Williamsburg Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Williamsburg Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Florence Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Carolina Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Carolina Academy is ranked 146th, while Florence Christian is ranked 133rd).
