On Friday, things could have been worse for Founders Classical Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 66-47 loss to Dayton.
Loss or not, Founders Classical Academy got some senior leadership from Aiden Roberts who scored 16 points and Joshua Gloria who scored 13 points. The game was Roberts' third in a row with at least ten points.
Leading Dayton to victory were Talan Brown and Issac Powell. Brown scored 16 points along with seven rebounds, while Powell went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 1 assists. The matchup was Brown's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivor Evans, who scored four points along with nine rebounds.
Founders Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Dayton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Wooster the next time they take the court. Founders Classical Academy will head out to face Wooster at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Dayton will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
