Central California AA recap Oct. 23, 2012
Brookside Christian took down Big Valley Christian 64-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Austin Caldron threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns and ran for seven yards in the win.

Edrico Oliver Jr. was the best wideout in the league this week as Brookside Christian bested Big Valley Christian. Oliver Jr. tallied three receptions for 63 yards. Blake Smallie helped Brookside Christian's passing attack out by catching three balls for 51 yards.
Estevon Herrera was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 210 yards as Stone Ridge Christian topped Larry Shimel's team. James Hultgren also contributed to the rushing game with 62 yards on the ground.
Marcus Zuniga made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Lions lost to the Knights. The 5-foot-6 junior recorded one fumble.
Brookside Christian's Caldron and Javier Rodriguez have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Central California AA in both passing and receiving yards. Caldron has thrown for 2023 yards this season, while Rodriguez, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 39 catches for 774 yards. Elliot Christian's Ben Huckaby leads the league in rushing yards with 1159.
The Knights' Herrera needs only 36 yards against the Knights next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 156 carries Herrera has accumulated 964 yard this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Eagles take on Big Valley Christian. At the moment, Elliot Christian is in first, while the Lions are in fourth.
Sierra Ridge/Rite of Passage fell 36-32 to Stone Ridge Christian in the closest game of the week.
