Universal Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Wilmer-Hutchins Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Universal Academy on the road against Young Men's Leadership Academy as the team secured a 78-30 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Universal Academy.
Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Wilmer-Hutchins, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with a 48-41 victory over Ferris on Tuesday. The win was just what Wilmer-Hutchins needed coming off of a 69-47 defeat in their prior contest.
Wilmer-Hutchins got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dezmond Williams out in front who scored 14 points along with 3 steals. The game was Williams' tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Brown, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Universal Academy's win bumped their season record to 3-1 while Young Men's Leadership Academy's loss dropped theirs to 0-10.
