John Jay had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Grand Street Campus on Friday. John Jay put the hurt on Grand Street Campus with a sharp 18-6 win. John Jay might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by ten runs or more this season.

John Jay's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Grand Street Campus, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-6.
