Hill Country Christian School of Austin had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 14-1 margin over the Concordia Cardinals. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Jack Young made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Hill Country Christian School of Austin is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5-1 otherwise. Young was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashton Berzins, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in triples. Another player making a difference was Will Nelson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Hill Country Christian School of Austin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Hill Country Christian School of Austin pushed their record up to 8-5-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.2 runs. As for Concordia, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hill Country Christian School of Austin will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Brazos Christian at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. Concordia will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Vanguard College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on April 1st.
