The Newbury Park Adventist Gators waltzed into their match on Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Rio Lindo Adventist 79-33 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Newbury Park Adventist has managed all season.
Despite the loss, Rio Lindo Adventist still got an impressive performance from Jhordany Barcenas, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Newbury Park Adventist's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newbury Park Adventist will challenge Hillcrest Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillcrest Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, Rio Lindo Adventist and Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy is on a three-game streak of home losses, Rio Lindo Adventist a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
