Basketball Game Preview: Futures Knights vs. Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning Fire Wolves

Futures is 4-0 against Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Futures Knights will be playing at home against the Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning Fire Wolves at 6:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Futures' favor as the team sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Futures is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Encina 76-39. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 30 points or more this season.

Futures found their leader in freshman Anthoni Moore, who dropped a triple-double on 35 points, ten boards, and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season. Daniel Morar was another key player, putting up eight points along with 13 rebounds and five steals.

Futures smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 12 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning had to suffer through a 63-18 loss at the hands of Victory Christian. That's two games in a row now that the Fire Wolves have lost by exactly 45 points.

Futures' victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7. As for Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything came up roses for Futures against Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured an 81-46 win.
