The matchup between the Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles and the Tremont Eagles on Tuesday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. Tupelo Christian Prep skirted past Tremont 61-59. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Tupelo Christian Prep as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrew Curtis, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 1 assists. Curtis continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nate Ruffin, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Tupelo Christian Prep's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Tremont, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tupelo Christian Prep will take on Baldwyn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tremont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Smithville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
