For the second straight game, Whitmore Lake will face off against Plymouth Christian Academy. The Trojans will welcome the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Whitmore Lake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Whitmore Lake came up short against Plymouth Christian Academy and fell 7-3. The Trojans have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.
For Plymouth Christian Academy's part, Michael Fernandez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Plymouth Christian Academy is 3-1 when Fernandez allows one or fewer earned runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Fernandez was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
