After a string of three wins, the Central Jaguars's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were beaten by Pace 56-15. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Central has scored all season.
Lakin Mathews and Hatcher Sasha certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Mathews scored eight points, while Sasha scored no points.
Aisley Shields continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pace, scoring 14 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Manor, who scored 12 points.
Central's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Pace, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will take on Milton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pace, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Jay at 12:00 p.m. Jay knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Pace likes a good challenge.
