It was a good run, but the Bordentown Scotties unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 51-41 to Notre Dame.
Several Scotties players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrew DeCosta, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Elijah Dean, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Bordentown struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Bordentown's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Notre Dame, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bordentown won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Burlington Township at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. Burlington Township is coming into the contest with seven straight wins at home, so Bordentown is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Notre Dame, they will head out on the road to face off against Ewing at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
