The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Park Vista in their matchups with Seminole Ridge: they've now lost three in a row.
Seminole Ridge can attribute much of their success to Roberto Venero, who rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Reid, who rushed for 12 yards and a touchdown.
Seminole Ridge's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Alexander Binda and his two sacks.
Park Vista's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Seminole Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Park Vista will be playing at home against Santaluces at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Seminole Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Dwyer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Dwyer: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Seminole Ridge has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
