West Union has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Felicity-Franklin Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Felicity-Franklin took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on West Union, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, West Union didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Clay, but they still walked away with a 54-48 victory. The victory was just what West Union needed coming off of a 80-38 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Felicity-Franklin, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-39 loss to Georgetown on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Felicity-Franklin in their matchups with Georgetown: they've now lost four in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Jace Blackburn, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zander Marlow, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
West Union's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Felicity-Franklin, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-7.
West Union opened the new year with a less-than-successful 67-57 defeat to Felicity-Franklin. Can West Union avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
