 Kohen Hall made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI and one  run. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news, McConnellsburg got a  massive  performance out of  Hoyt Glenn, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Glenn is becoming a predictor of the Spartans' success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is undefeated (and 1-4 when he doesn't).  Reese Alexander was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 McConnellsburg  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rockwood only posted  an  OBP of  .333.
McConnellsburg pushed their record up to 7-4 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Rockwood,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 7-4 record.
 Coming up, McConnellsburg will look to defend their home field  on Friday against James Buchanan  at 6:00  p.m. As for Rockwood, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Windber  at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
