First Preparatory Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
First Preparatory Christian Academy pushed their score all the way to 74 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Central Fellowship Christian Academy 80-74. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Thursday (67), First Preparatory Christian Academy still had to take the loss.
Despite their defeat, First Preparatory Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Brandon Betton, who scored 20 points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Betton has scored all season. Jeremiah Moore was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Memorial Day had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Claxton with a 45-39 win on Saturday.
First Preparatory Christian Academy bumped their record down to 3-6 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Memorial Day, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
First Preparatory Christian Academy came up short against Memorial Day in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, falling 61-54. Can First Preparatory Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
