The West Nodaway Rockets lost against the Worth County Tigers back in January of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. West Nodaway fell 43-31 to Worth County. West Nodaway has struggled against Worth County recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Tyler New, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds for Worth County. Another player making a difference was Cole Ruby, who scored six points.
West Nodaway's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Worth County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Nodaway and DeKalb will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. DeKalb has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30. As for Worth County, they will be playing at home against North Harrison on Monday. North Harrison will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 436th, while Worth County is ranked 182nd).
