Deerfield hadn't done well against Hustisford recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Demons came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 2-0. That two set margin sets a new team best for the Demons this season.

Mia Haberkorn paced Deerfield's offense, picking up six kills. Haberkorn got some help from Tia Anderson and her ten assists. Anderson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Despite the loss, Hustisford still got an impressive performance from Layla Thimm, who had ten digs and five assists.

The win was the third in a row for Deerfield, bringing their record up to 4-1. As for Hustisford, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Deerfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Valley Christian on the 29th. As for Hustisford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Sheboygan Area Lutheran on the 29th.
