Despite the loss, Maeser Prep Academy still got an impressive performance from Octavia Mosher, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 60% of Maeser Prep Academy's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Patricia Keeley, who scored eight points.
American Leadership Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Leah Frost led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Frost has scored all season. Ali Decker was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Maeser Prep Academy bumped their record down to 3-13 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.0 points per game. As for American Leadership Academy, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Maeser Prep Academy will head out on the road to challenge Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for American Leadership Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Draper APA at 7:00 p.m. Draper APA will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
