Miami has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Bronaugh Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miami comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Two weeks ago, Miami took a serious blow against the Panthers, falling 70-18.
Meanwhile, Bronaugh had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 72-55 win over Chilhowee on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Bronaugh's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tucker Duncan, who scored 38 points along with five steals. Duncan is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Strauss Banes, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Miami dropped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.6 points per game. As for Bronaugh, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Miami was taken down by the Wildcats 83-19 in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Miami was down 48-12.
