They strolled past Pilgrim with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 46-32. This was payback for North Providence, who suffered a 54-52 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Lusine Hagopian was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with six rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Heon, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
North Providence has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Pilgrim, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
North Providence will head out on the road to square off against the Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Rhode Island (Toll Gate is ranked 12th, while the Cougars are ranked 16th). As for Pilgrim, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Northmen at 7:00 p.m.
