If the Menchville Monarchs were riding high off their 74-53 takedown of the Warwick Raiders last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Menchville fell 72-62 to Kecoughtan on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kecoughtan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marcel Pace, who scored 23 points. Tyler Suber was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Menchville's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Kecoughtan, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-7.
Menchville will challenge Kellam at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. Kellam will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Kecoughtan, they will be playing at home against West Springfield at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. West Springfield is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
