Softball Recap: Legacy Wins Going Away Against Hawthorne

Legacy never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on the Hawthorne Cougars with a sharp 13-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

Legacy let Stephanie Salas and Isabella Medina run wild. Salas scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Medina went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Medina has posted since back in March of 2024. Yesenia Villegas was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Legacy back to even at 1-1. As for Hawthorne, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Legacy will take on Torrance at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hawthorne, they will challenge Crossroads at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
