Brea Olinda won the last time they faced Whittier Christian, and Logan Severson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Brea Olinda Wildcats managed a 62-56 win over the Whittier Christian Heralds on Friday thanks in part to Severson, who went 6 of 7from beyond the arc on his way to 21 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Jackson, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points and six rebounds. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Whittier Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aaron Sandoval, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds. Sandoval is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Leland Carrido, who posted eight points along with ten rebounds and seven assists.

The victory made it two in a row for Brea Olinda and bumps their season record up to 3-2. As for Whittier Christian, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Brea Olinda didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-60 defeat against Esperanza on the 30th. As for Whittier Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-62 loss against Diamond Ranch on the 30th.
